Honeymoon in Bali (1939)
Honeymoon in Bali stars Fred MacMurray and Madeleine Carroll in a 1939 film which makes heavy use of the prevailing social and cultural trends.
While these values and mores are no longer practiced, and most (if not all) are now frowned upon, the film should not be held to today's social standards; it should be viewed with its historical context in mind.
Like many movies of its time, Gail (Carroll) is a career-minded woman who is determined to remain single, but falls for a man (MacMurray) who wants a more domesticated life. This was a common theme for rom-coms of the period.
Honeymoon in Bali is also known as Are Husbands Necessary?, My Love for Yours, and a few other titles.
Happy Valentine's Day!

The Miracle on 34th Street (1955)
VIDEO REMOVED
The Miracle on 34th Street
No, this is not the earlier version with Natalie Wood, but it is a faithful adaptation of the Christmas classic, and a wonderful way to spend the holidays. If you do not know the story, do not bother to look it up; just grab a seat and enjoy!

Noel (2004)
2004's Noel features a star-studded cast including Susan Sarandon, Robin Williams, Paul Walker, and Penelope Cruz, and was directed by Chazz Palminteri. A Christmas drama with really good reviews, you are likely to want a box of tissues close-at-hand.

The B-Raters vs. April Fool's Day
The B-Raters vs. April Fool's Day
I have no problem confessing a soft spot for this admittedly flawed, but thoroughly entertaining, cult classic!
Check out The B-Raters' site for more riffs and information on cult flicks.

Irish Luck
I searched for Spencer Tracy's Boys Town, as it should certainly have fallen into the Public Domain by now, but was unsuccessful. Instead, Channel-B.TV brings you the 1939 also-ran, Irish Luck.
You are forgiven for never having heard of this timeless film, as Irish Luck was never very popular. It is in keeping with the Irish theme for St. Patrick's Day, though. 🍀

New Year's Evil (1980)
New Year's Evil is a 1980 horror movie featuring Roz Kelly as a punk rock DJ who has a direct line to a string of grisly murders. Roundly considered a "mediocre underground classic," it is thought to have fallen into the public domain - although unscrupulous parties continue to seek dominion over the title. New Year's Evil has been featured on TCM, It Came from Public Domain, and elsewhere.
Roger Ebert reviewed New Year's Evil upon its release in 1980. We have chosen to replace the movie with its trailer to avoid further harassment by online terrorists.
Apparently, that was not enough, as even the movie trailer itself has disappeared (05-15-19)! So we just replaced it with the theme song... which is a lot better than the movie (and no, that is not saying much).

Jack Benny's Christmas Show featuring Mel Blanc
Jack Benny encounters both Mel Blanc and Frank Nelson in this classic Christmas Show from The Jack Benny Program.
Many of Jack Benny's television programs originally aired as radio features on his show, also entitled The Jack Benny Program, which ran from 1932 to 1965. Channel-B.TV features many Jack Benny Program episodes.

Celebrate Halloween with George Romero's Night of the Living Dead
Channel-B.TV celebrates this Halloween with a viewing of George Romero's classic, Night of the Living Dead. An Apocalyptic horror movie about a world overrun by zombies which spawned a franchise, and provided the foundation for a sub-genre which thrives even today.
Romero's 1968 film was originally peddled out of the trunk of his car, Night of the Living Dead has since gone on to become one of the most successful independent films ever made. Unfortunately, he saw little profit from it thanks to his ignorance of distribution rights and bad business dealings. Night of the Living Dead has since fallen into the Public Domain in America, and has been screened at such prestigious outlets as the Museum of Modern Art.
In 1968, Roger Ebert reviewed Night of the Living Dead for Reader's Digest..
